Well now seeing as it is March I should post again ;). Well alot has changed in my writing style or at least I hope so in the past month or so. I have come to realise that it is tough to break away from certain conventions that we are used to seeing or hearing about poetry. So I have tryed to make my own style but also encorperating ideas from the poets we have read. Here is one of my recent poems that I have been revising this is actually my second revision and still needs much more work I am sure.

“To My One in Blue”
My heart beats for the on in blue.
The lightning of her eyes brings a shimmer to all things around her
She has something, a sort of spark
It keeps my attention never striking twice in the same place.

Fast it has come my love.
Around her the one in blue, Time speeds up
Like a clock ticking while playing in the sun

When our eyes connect it is though time seems to lose its place.
Nothing moves, Nothing alters
All that remains is the connection we hold, the spark
That strike of our feelings being now interconnected without challenge

In this pause is where my heart remains, forever motionless without change
My life is incomplete now without the one,
We are now bound together with no strings attached
Forever laced are hands bound with one another’s grasp.

I will take these feeling to my grave, unscathed by the catalysts it has encountered in this time
Truly I have found the one unbreakable ultimate principle in life
It is what I share between my on true love, my one in blue.
