First thoughts and comments

Well I guess I should say this my first time blogging. So far what I have gotten from this class is a lot of outside of the box thinking. The techniques we use to access our "muse" is of definite interest to me. I find what works best for me is music (without lyrics) and visual aids. I have found that reading poetry has become less strenuous with the more that I read. I find it uplifting to be able to hear the "music" in the poetry. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and understanding. Not only to I feel better about reading and enjoying poetry I find with each muse write and extra writing in class I find my ideas flow much better. If I can come to a way of writing that I can call my own I feel that by the end of the semester I will have accomplished what this course plans on conveying.

Well thanks to those who read this and I will be seeing you all this Thursday

I agree with you, Mike. I've found that poetry has gotten a little easier for me to read and enjoy as well, though I still have a while to go. The Muse writes are pretty good, and I've found that writing to music is my personal forte over writing to images. I'm not sure if my Muse work is any good or not, but I find the time just flies by when I'm doing Muse work. But I wish we could do more of our own Muse work versus Muse ideas based on other poets. Maybe later on in the semester?

This is also my first time blogging, Mike. I agree with you about the muse writings, and the more you read poems the easier it becomes. I am excited to see how i progressed towards the end of the semester as well!
